Powered Industrial Truck Training and Licensing

There has been an ongoing issue with the membership taking the Powered Industrial Truck Training and not continuing to the license stage. Some of the requirements are:

1. Hold a valid driver’s license

2. Take an approved provider Powered Industrial Truck Operator (PITO) training (UBC PITO training covers this requirement)

3. Obtain a DOT physical

4. Register and take the test with the state

The Board of Trustees understanding the importance of Training and Licensing/certifications  has decided to reimburse the member for the application and the testing (the fund will not be reimbursing for the DOT physical). The application current cost vary by state.

The member must show proof of attaining the state license for reimbursement
